STAYS, DEPOSITS, & CANCELLATIONS
A credit card (Visa, AmEx, MasterCard, Discover) will be needed to guarantee reservations according to our inn policies. This includes a deposit in the amount of one-half the stay (minimum deposit is for one night). Furthermore, guests are responsible for charges on all rooms and days reserved when notice of cancellation is less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival. During our high season months of May – November our cancellation policy is 14 days prior to arrival. Any cancellations made during that timeframe will be liable for their entire booking. Final cancellations are be subject to a $20 processing fee. You may change the card on file with us at any time by letting us know at check in/out or calling us at 207-706-6298. Please note you must be 21 years of age or older to reserve a room. Our guest room rates are subject to change.
GROUP CANCELLATIONS
Group reservations consisting of seven (7) or more rooms are final and deposits are completely non-refundable.
FURRY FRIENDS
We adore our furry friends and are honoring pet accommodations made up until 8/3/2024. We are no longer accepting new pet reservations moving forward. Any unauthorized pets will be subject to a $250.00 per night fee. If you are bringing a service animal we kindly ask that you call ahead to confirm your stay with your pet.
TRAVEL CHANGES
For travel date changes or un-foreseen travel delays please call/text 207-706-6298 to keep us informed on your new arrival time so we can make the proper steps to get you checked in seamlessly.
CHECK-INS
We look forward to welcoming you between the hours of 3pm – 5pm. If you are planning to arrive after 5pm, please contact us ASAP, so we can provide after hours check-in information.Please call/text (207) 706-6298, or email hideaway@hideawayinnmaine.com with any early check-in requests. If an early check-in is available we will try to accommodate you if possible.
CHECK-OUTS
Check-out time is 11 am. If late check out is available, a $75/hr late checkout fee will be charged per hour until 1 pm. After 1pm, 100% of the room rate will be charged.
SMOKING & DAMAGE
For the consideration of our guests, all of our guest rooms, suites, and common spaces including the outside property are smoke-free. If you or your guests choose to smoke in a guest room or suites, a $250 cleaning fee will be added to your bill. Additionally, if there is any considerable damage to your room during your stay, additional fees will be applied. When you book online or are a walk in check in with us, our system keeps your card on file to cover any room damage, including missing items, excessive soiling, damage to furniture, linens, and other property. Damage will be assessed and communicated, then billed to the responsible guest at our replacement cost, which may include labor and installation costs.
FIRE PIT & COMMON SPACE ETIQUETTE
Hours for enjoyment: 8am – 9pm.
Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. During this time, we ask that you respect your neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. If we have to repeatedly ask you to quiet down, we will then ask you to leave the property and no refund will be given.We are not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen property.
WETSUIT, BEACH TOWEL, SWIMSUIT, BEACH TOY & PERSONAL BICYCLE ETIQUETTE
Please do not hang beach towels, swimsuits or wetsuits on railings or windows outside of guest rooms. Additional hangers are provided upon request for drying and hanging wet items. Please store all beach toys and equipment in your personal vehicle or ask an associate, we maybe able to accommodate for you depending on the request. We do not allow bicycle storage in common spaces, in rooms, or outdoor storage space. Owners are responsible for locking up bicycles or gear using what proper locking system was brought with the bicycle.
OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS
No guest room or patio cooking is permitted. A $250 fee will be applied to the credit card on file if unauthorized cooking takes place on our property. We may provide a small refrigerator and or ice maker upon request. Inn kitchens are off limits to guests for outside food/drink storage.
SECURITY
We are not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen property. Onsite parking is for The Hideaway Inn guests only. Please be mindful that our parking lot is uncovered and not secured. Please lock your doors and keep all valuables in a secured place. Guest are not allowed in the kitchen or inn keepers spaces at any time or for any reason.
LOST & FOUND
Should you leave belongings behind and request that we ship them to you, a minimum flat fee of $30 per parcel for 2-3 day priority mail will be billed to the credit card on file. Requests for overnight shipping or larger items will be billed $30 plus the cost of shipping.
